I
ran across some people I hadn’t seen since the pandemic hit. It was
really interesting to see how differently people have handled these last
8-9 months.
Some
thrived, some continued on and stayed strong whether they were able to
thrive or not, and others had a really hard time. Mindset changed a
lot.
It’s
been real easy for some good people to let a lot of the negativity
saturating the world affect them, whether it be from a religious
standpoint, a political standpoint, health and so on. It helped refresh
my philosophy of staying strong no matter what’s going on around you.
I have my own personal beliefs and views, and at the core of it I believe can be good people no matter what.
I
remember when I first moved out of the Gila Valley years and year ago, I
traveled a lot for my job. We were in the Philippines and there was a
Christian group. One of the people there talked to us about how it
really doesn’t matter what your beliefs are; instead, it comes down to
three values: feel good, be good, and do good. I’ll always remember
that.
Do
what’s good for yourself and others. Be a good person inside and out,
and spread the good with every action you take, word you say, and
thought you have. This is something that helps people stay strong
through thick and thin.
Take
a moment to reflect on what you’re doing, feeling, and being. What’s
good and what’s not? What do you know you can change for the better, for
the good of all, including yourself?
