Increase N-O and Circulation to Decrease ED, BP and Cold Extremities

According to 2016 research, the main cause of ED and Blood Pressure problems is poor vascular function. As a result, the risk factors for ED are the same as those for cardiovascular disease. Some sources indicate that ED may be an early indicator of cardiovascular disease.  Research demonstrated a healthful diet that includes foods rich in Nitric Oxide and vitamin D may have the potential to improve ED.
 
Nitric Oxide is a gas produced in every tissue and organ in your body, specifically in the lining of your blood vessels. This gas triggers a chemical reaction that tells arteries to relax, which leads to increased oxygen and blood flow.  Poor circulation leads to many health problems since blood transports oxygen, nutrients, water, and hormones all over your body and removes accumulated toxins. While aging is bound to happen, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease do not have to be a part of it. Reversing this tendency with N-O is the simple, safe, and effective approach. It helps boost oxygen levels, which allows energy levels to go up, ensuring nutrient delivery, yielding faster repair and excellent recovery.

Nitrates like the ones found in foods like beets and berries increases blood flow by helping your blood vessels expand. When your blood flows freely, every organ in your body can function better, which in turn means your risk for dis-ease goes down. For our purposes in this pak, we use a “food nitrate” called Creatine Nitrate.
Creatine Nitrate can be considered the Rockstar nutrient when it comes to promoting blood vessel flexibility and excellent blood flow. In addition to helping your body produce N-O, it is an excellent catalyst for promoting methylation and muscle growth when stimulated.
Methylation is a process that adds select molecules e.g., (a methyl group) to various components of proteins, DNA, etc., that allow better function and efficiency. Life would not exist without it. It takes place more than a billion times per second in the body.
A great example is serotonin, the feel-good brain chemical. If not methylated, it becomes dormant and leads to depression and anxiety. Creatine donates the select molecules your body needs to promote methylation, which allows normal physiology, which removes causes of dysfunctions.
Anabolism is the scientific term for the biological state of muscle growth. Your cells are constantly breaking down (catabolism) and must be built up. However, when it comes to muscle, it’s easy for the body to consider muscle mass expendable for the sake of creating energy. This leads to muscle wasting, sarcopenia, weakness, poor posture, slower metabolism, and lowered immunity.
Creatine is a key nutrient when it comes to promoting muscle strength. Since your heart is a muscle and a network of blood vessels, you want your heart to stay strong and healthy as forever as possible.  
Creatine has been proven to act as an antioxidant, promote proper muscle pH, and help with hydration at the cellular level.  These three things your body needs to repair and grow muscles, thus stay strong and keep your heart and other muscles healthy.
Arginine is an amino acid that provides the raw materials the body needs to create N-O. This process is a part of the urea cycle, as seen below, that takes place mostly in the liver. The byproduct of this process is urea, which travels through the bloodstream and is filtered out in the kidneys through urine as a waste product.

Arginine has great potential, but it doesn't increase N-O in the body unless antioxidants and organic nitrates are present with arginine.  With the proper nutrients, it acts to boost the circulatory system and promotes Nitric Oxide usage in the body. That is why all the complete needed nutrients are in the Performance Paks to ensure arginine progresses to create not only N-O but also nutritionally supports the increase of Growth Hormones.  This combination of nutrients and conversions is critical for performance and effectiveness. New specific studies also show that other vitamins and nutrients can help with circulation and conditions like Blood Pressure and better function during intimacy.

Vitamins and ED
 
Vitamin D
 
A 2020 meta-analysis in nutrients found a direct link between vitamin D deficiency and severe ED. Another study of young men with low vitamin D status found that those with a vitamin D deficiency had poor erectile function. This suggests a link between vitamin D deficiency and ED.
 
Scientists are not sure what the exact relationship between vitamin D3 and ED is. Vitamin D may reduce inflammation, improve blood flow, and stimulate nitric oxide production, which is an important part of the erectile response.
 
The main source of vitamin D for humans is sunlight. Sunlight is inadequate to give us the needed levels at this time in history. It is possible to get some needed vitamin D from foods, such as:

 
  • oily fish (such as salmon or sardines)
  • portobello mushrooms
  • egg yolk
  • liver
 
I take vitamin D3 daily and recommend my family and patients do the same.  Levels are very low in the patients I have seen if they are not daily supplementing.
 
Vitamin B9
 
Vitamin B9, or folic acid, may also play a role in ED. A 2014 study found that many participants with ED also had a folic acid deficiency.  Another 2020 study found that folic acid supplementation may be a useful part of ED treatment, with all 50 participants experiencing some improvement in their symptoms. Folic acid comes in two forms: a synthetic version that manufacturers add to food products, and folate, which is naturally occurring and easier to absorb and utilize.
 
These following foods are rich in folate:

 
  • greens (such as spinach, kale, brussels sprouts, and broccoli)
  • avocado
  • broccoli
  • asparagus
  • eggs
  • citrus fruits
  • bananas
  • legumes (such as beans, peas, and lentils)
 
A synthetic form of vitamin B9 can be found in fortified cereals.
 
Vitamin B3
 
Vitamin B3, or niacin, may also improve erectile function. A 2011 study found that niacin alone could improve symptoms in people with moderate to severe ED.
 
The following foods are rich in vitamin B3:

 
  • meat (such as turkey, chicken, pork, and beef)
  • avocado
  • peanuts
  • mushrooms
  • brown rice
  • avocados
 
CoQ10
 
CoQ10 is the main nutrient that every cell utilizes for energy. It has two forms, ubiquinol and ubiquinone. The ubiquinone form is the most common form sold to consumers, even though the body does not use CoQ10 in this form. The body must convert it into ubiquinol, which can be a very difficult process, especially if the body is already under stress.
 
In its ubiquinol form, it keeps the heart strong and healthy, and protects against neurodegenerative AND neuromuscular diseases. While CoQ10 is present in every cell and tissue, it is concentrated mostly in the heart because the heart requires a constant energy flow to keep it beating and keep us alive.
 
Vitamin K2 in MK-7 Form
 
Vitamin K2 is an important accompaniment to Vitamin D.  Without K2, vitamin D cannot work properly. Any high potency vitamin D formula without K2 can create deficiencies. Research shows that 97% of the population is deficient in K2.
 
Different from vitamin K (known as K1), Vitamin K2 works to keep blood vessels free of calcium buildup and ensures calcium is used in the bones. Vitamin K2 is being touted as the most important “unknown” nutrient in the world by many at this time. K2 has been shown to increase life spans up to seven years in many studies. The form of K2 is critical. Only the MK-7 form lasts a long time in the bloodstream and is the only form derived from food. Vitamin K2 works to keep blood vessels free of calcium buildup, and only the MK-7 form lasts a long enough in the bloodstream, to help increase the lifespan by up to 7 years.
 
With all these nutrients combined, the NOS Performance Paks will most certainly help improve restrictive blood flow conditions and get the blood pumping more adequately again.
