The Incredible Importance of Methylation
November 20, 2017 Puzzle Piece
This
article is a quick summary of Methylation. Dr Marc Harris will do an
in-depth presentation at Homecoming 2018 that will go over the 11,000
pages of genetic research/reporting that he has committed to memory,
covering how to balance genetic SNPs. He has found other systems that
treat with nutritional support of individual SNPs can throw off
epigenetic expression in many places downstream. He has test kits
available he will teach us to use to balance the entire system February
23-25 in Tempe, AZ at Homecoming 2018.
Methylation
Methylation
is a vital metabolic process that happens in every cell and every organ
of our body 24/7. Life would not exist without it. These normal
reactions occur billions of times every second. It happens when one
molecule passes a methyl group, which is a carbon atom, linked to three
hydrogens (CH3) to another molecule. An example of this reaction is when
one molecule passes a methyl group to another molecule to make things
like creatine, carnitine, CoQ10, phosphatidylcholine, melatonin, and
hundreds of other life-giving substances.
The Purpose Methylation Serves
If
there is a genetic SNP or deficiency of needed nutrition or
supplementation, such as the Vitamin B family, the body malfunctions.
The problem is, approximately 60% of Americans have a genetic mutation
that is necessary to create enough MTHFR. Simply put: Your body
struggles to repair DNA over time. This leads to a deficiency that
increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, heart disease,
Alzheimer’s, cancer, and many, many, more conditions and malfunctions.
This can be the underlying cause of many diagnosed diseases
according to current research and understanding. If we can improve
methylation, we improve function and our health and wellness. It is our
job as physicians, that work with nature, to improve function, rather
than treat disease and symptomatic expression that was caused from
dysfunction.
A great example is serotonin, which is the feel-good brain
chemical. If not methylated, it becomes dormant and leads to depression
and anxiety. This is again, just one of the many chemicals that need to
be methylated. If they are not, it can lead to serious health
consequences.
This is Why We Choose Opti-Methyl B™
The
proof is in the testing and using. I previously used either 5-MTHF, or a
synthetically methylated whole B and/or SAMe, according to which tested
the best for each patient. Opti-Methyl-B™ out tests them all and for
almost everyone.
Opti-Methyl-B is a high potency, whole food, methylated complex
B-vitamin formula. This therapeutic dosage provides what your body needs
to combat stress and allow for optimal function. It also contains the
active organic forms of the B-vitamin spectrum. In organic chemistry,
methyl groups can be delivered easily with certain carriers. This
therapeutic dosage formula uses B vitamins. The Opti-Blend mixture of
plant enzymes and probiotics predigests the whole foods while the
cultured media creates the naturally methylated high potency B-vitamins
found in this formula.
This is a very big tip of the iceberg. We will get into
specifics, facts, figures and solutions, with the rest of the story at
Homecoming 2018.
