Almost
daily, I am asked can you help many different conditions, such as
headaches, migraines, sciatica, MS, RSD/Compartment Syndrome, back pain,
neck pain, depression, thyroid problems, anxiety, panic attacks,
exhaustion and many other symptomatic expressions?
My question to myself and to the patient are, what is the cause of these
symptoms? Sometimes the patient states they think it could be severe
stress, a chronic sinus infection, an accident they had, bad eating or
no exercise habits, etc. Yet sometimes, they have no idea of the many
potential triggers and mediators of their pains and problems.
That is HOW and WHY the Six Interferences and the Six Steps to Wellness developed. I often state I am a DC, which means not only a Doctor of Chiropractic but also and especially a Doctor of Cause.
We evaluate which of the 6 interferences the person has and which of the
corrections are needed to remove the causes and restore normal
function.
Therein lies the MIRACLES. We have often stated to the doctors we
teach, this concept is “mentoring in miracles”. The universe, the body
and its functions are all miraculous. When the causes of dysfunction
are identified and removed, the body can many times manifest healing,
which appears as miracles.
If the practitioner does not identify the causes of dysfunction and
assist the body in correcting them, how can we expect consistent
positive results, much less miracles to take place?
Below is a list of the steps and potential corrections. With Dr
Harris’s genius, we also have the genetic testing and treatment
protocols.
Those that have available other licenses, or work with those that do,
can expand treatment protocols by adding Biological Allographs to
increase the bodies own stem cells, scar releases, PRP, Cutaneous
Nervous System injections etc.
We have developed and utilized these 6 Steps in my 51 years of practice
and find them indispensable in achieving maximum results. Doug Grant of

STRUCTURE
Step 1: Re-establish Structural Integrity, “The Foundation of Health”.
Nerve and Structural interference happen when nerves or tissue are
interfered with causing the life energy, which flows through them, to be
blocked. It can be produced through trauma such as an accident or fall,
fractures, surgery, emotional stress, etc.
If our tissues, muscles, or fascial movements are restricted it can
cause interference with the electrical impulses moving through them.
Pain and disease are not the initial cause but are key indicators of
nerve interference.
Re-establishing structural integrity is the foundation of health. 80% of
all conditions improve when the structure of the body is properly
re-established to allow a free flow of vital energy.
ELECTRICAL POLLUTION
Step 2: Rebalance Electromagnetics
We live in an ocean of electromagnetism. Our bodies have their own
electromagnetic field much like a magnet has north and south polarities.
Every cell has north and south polarity that affects all functions of
the cell. Our fields should be synchronized with the natural rhythms of
the earth, moon, and sun etc.
When electromagnetic pollution from power lines, appliances, computers
and TVs, microwave communications devices, and even the electric clock
by the bed begins to accumulate, our entire system becomes stressed to
the point of exhaustion. Our vision declines, our cells no longer know
how to build and repair the body properly, and illness can set in.
NUTRITION
S tep 3: Rebalance Nutrition
- Reset Adrenals & the General Adaptive Syndrome (GAS)
- Replenish Nutrition for Organs, Glands or Systems Weakness.
- Reduce Infective Organisms in the Body.
- Replace Enzymes and/or HCL to Aid Digestion, Assimilation and Elimination.
- Restore Proper Bowl Flora to Optimize Colon Function
Surveys
show that 20% of the US population never eats vegetables, and 40%
rarely consumes fruit or fruit juices. 80% of the population never
consumes whole grains or high-fiber foods. All forms of refined sugar
lower the immune system's function and interferes with the ability of
the white blood cells to destroy unfriendly bacteria.
The
standard American diet, which contains food grown on depleted soils,
has left Americans deficient in many nutrients important to health. In
1936, U.S. Senate Document 264 noted that 95% of Americans are deficient
in one or more major minerals and many trace minerals, which have been
proven to be necessary for bone mineralization. Of course, we are much
worse at this time.
ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES
Step 4: Reprogram the body for any Allergy or Sensitivity
Conventional estimates suggest that 35 million people in the US suffer
from allergies of different kinds. As we remove the interferences to
your health, reset your adrenal glands, and correct your nutrition and
digestion we must correct allergies and sensitivities We also us a
technique referred to as ASERT or use the ASA for neutralization to help
reduce triggering your immune system back into interference. This is a
very significant stage of healing and cannot be ignored.
Listed here are three causes of allergies:
- A substance in the environment such as dust, mold, pollen, etc.
- Foods or food additives such as corn, milk, soy, etc.
- Metabolic Byproducts (bodily fluids and tissues).
Allergic
reactions can mimic a wide range of diseases and disorders and lead to
confused immune system responses referred to as molecular mimicry and
can kill off our own healthy cells. Infective organisms and drugs such
as NSAIDS are linked to leaky gut syndrome, or excessive permeability of
the GI tract. These leaky walls in the digestive tract allow incomplete
digested food particles into the blood stream. Food particles in the
digestive tract are normal, but food particles in the blood stream are
reacted to as foreign invaders and can set up autoimmune reactions.
EMOTIONS AND STRESS
Step 5: Re-evaluate Emotional Patterns & Remove Limiting Belief Systems
Emotion has been shown by the latest research to be a complex reaction
between the body and mind. These reactions result in chemical changes in
the brain and cells, which produces energy made of electrical and
magnetic nerve signals. These energies or emotions literally have a
frequency, which radiates outward from our energy field. These signals
or blocks may be referred to as energy cysts or energy blocks.
The
mind is a field of energy made up of the brain, the body, and the
entire energy field. These chemical and energy patterns are stored in
the mind-body field, and this is called emotional memory. Patterns of
thought and behavior are caused by one's perception. Perceptions and
beliefs are represented by the stored configurations of memory held in
an electromagnetic field we call our mind.
Past experiences and perceptions of them control reflex emotional
responses. These emotional reflexes can then be re-played and create
interferences to normal functions in life and limit one's ability to
perceive situations properly.
TOXICITY
Step 6: Remove Heavy Metals and Other Toxins from the Body
Toxic metals are widely used in industry, food processing, and
agriculture and find their way into our air, food, and water. Exposures
to these toxins are not blatantly obvious to us and are hard to pinpoint
as a cause for illness. Some toxins are naturally occurring chemicals
that our body has had a hard time breaking down. When accumulated in our
cells these toxins can cause mutation or death. These can be harmless
in very small quantities but deadly in large amounts.
Researchers and experts in environmental medicine tell us that it is not
a question of if our bodies are burdened with toxic overload but “how
bad is it.” Common problems of toxicity include headaches, fatigue,
general joint and muscle pain, skin disorders like rashes and eczema,
and asthma and allergies. Many toxins are neurotoxins like monosodium
glutamate and mercury and affect our brain functions such as memory,
quick thinking, and moods...

Immunity and the Microbiome, A Real Partnership
Considering
immunity and the microbiome, science demonstrates the microbiota
promotes and supports all aspects of the immune system and overall
health. Of course, the immune system must be optimal to protect the
healthy bacteria of the entire body. There are healthy bacteria in the
nasal cavities, mouth, on the skin and of course in the GI tract, etc.
The
microbiota of the entire body plays a fundamental, comprehensive, and
intricate role in the immune system. In return, the host immune system
protects and promotes this symbiotic relationship with the microbiota.
In health and wellness, we must support the good bacteria and use
natural immune support instead of killing of the good with the bad
bacteria when possible.
The body must be able to tell the difference of good and bad bacteria.
This requires a constant sensing of the microbiome. There are feedback
loops between innate/natural and adaptive forces. There is constant
evaluation of the immune system/microbiome and its mirids of components
by these natural and adaptive counterparts. Maintenance of this dialogue
requires total body communication and balancing when and where
necessary. Therefore, the “Six Steps to Wellness” is a major asset in
evaluation and treatment.
The Six Steps evaluates and detected dysfunctions and assists the body’s
innate abilities to allow proper function in many cases. We evaluate
and implement balance when and where necessary:
- Structure (spinal, extremity, craniosacral, visceral, circulation, meridians, lymphatics etc.)
- Electromagnetics both external and internal
- Emotions and Stress Reduction
- Nutritional evaluation and balancing (the microbiome included)
- Evaluation and treatment of allergies and sensitivities
- Detoxification in many forms
Immunity and the Microbiome Considerations
- Support of the epithelial cells by the microbiota.
- Tonic control of hematopoiesis and innate immunity by the microbiota.
- Non-classical lymphocyte interaction with the microbiota.
- Adaptive immunity to the microbiota.
- Balance of immune reactivity to the microbiota.
- Induction of regulatory responses by the microbiota.
- Nutritional support, exercise and emotional balancing are all important.
80% of the human immune system is in the gut. We need to understand and

Eat the Rainbow Diet and Supercharge Your Health

One of the most important things you can do to improve your health is to eat a plant rich diet.
Plant
rich means that the majority of your diet consists of plant foods while
at the same time adding an adequate amount of quality protein and
healthy fats (avocados, coconut and nuts).
Plant foods are absolutely necessary to improve your gut microbiome because they contain fiber and phytonutrients.
Phytonutrients or phytochemicals contain something quite powerful. These include polyphenols, resveratrol, flavonoids, isoflavonoids, terpenoids, and carotenoids.
Phytonutrients have been found to super-charge your immunity, reduce inflammation, help in preventing cancer and slow down the aging process.
Although
it is well known that you obtain the bulk of your phytonutrients from
vegetables and fruits, it may surprise you that eating grass fed beef also supplies adequate amounts of phytonutrients.
One way of imprinting it in your mind about the best phytonutrients is to think of eating the rainbow of fruits and vegetables.
Here are some foods to get you started:
Red Foods:
red
apples, beets, red cabbage, cherries, cranberries, pink grapefruit, red
grapes, guava or guava juice, red peppers, pomegranates, red potatoes,
radishes, raspberries, rhubarb, strawberries, tomatoes or tomato sauce,
watermelon.
Orange or Deep Yellow Foods:
apricots,
butternut squash, cantaloupe, carrots, corn, grapefruit, lemons,
mangoes, nectarines, oranges, papaya, peaches, pears, persimmons,
pineapple, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, yellow peppers, yellow squash.
Green Foods:
Artichokes,
asparagus, avocados, green apples, green beans, broccoli, bok choy,
chard, collard greens, cucumbers, grapes, green onion, honeydew melon,
kale, kiwi, lettuce, lime, peas, peppers, spinach, zucchini.
Blue or Purple Foods:
Bilberries, blackberries, black currants, blueberries, eggplant, elderberries, kelp, prunes, purple grapes, raisins.
One caveat
to consider is if you are battling diabetes, insulin resistance, belly
fat, weight loss issues and gut dysbiosis, it is best to focus on low
glycemic fruits (berries) and vegetables.
The optimal amount of vegetables is 12 to 18 servings per day with a 1/2 cup being one serving. Limit your low glycemic fruit (berries) to half cup per day or one piece of fruit per day.
Although it is best to purchase organic vegetables and fruits, I recommend you check out the Environmental Working Group site (ewg.org). This site provides the top 12 fruits and vegetables with the most pesticides. It is called the Dirty Dozen. It also lists the top 15 fruits and vegetables with the least amount of pesticides. It is called the Clean Fifteen.

All Covid-19 vaccines are experimental treatments. They all focus on
the spike protein of the virus COVID-19 carries on its surface. As
humans, we carry spike proteins too. A woman’s placenta when she’s
pregnant, carries a bunch. A man’s spike proteins are concentrated in
our testicular tissues, especially those that produce sperm. That’s why
the Corona Virus vaccine of 2014 produced a profoundly effective
infertility results, and why it was shut down by the FDA.
Some physicians say: “That’s also why the COVID-19 will also produce a
profound infertility in men and in women, by producing antibodies to
attack our own cell. That’s called autoimmunity. And now we are

While Moderna's announcement of 100% efficacy with teens 12-17 years old
sounds very positive, it was just announced in Connecticut that 18
teens have been hospitalized with heart problems following their
Covid-19 vaccination, most within 4 days of their 2nd shot. The
announcement did not indicate whose vaccines were used by these teens.
If we shut down J&J vaccines after 7 adults in the entire country
had blood clots, shouldn't we do the same when 18 youth in one of the
smallest states in the U.S. had heart problems?

Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine showed 100% efficacy in adolescents ages 12
to 17, according to a press release from the manufacturer on Tuesday.
Starting 14 days after the second dose of vaccine, no cases of COVID-19
were reported in the vaccine group compared to control group.
"We are encouraged that mRNA-1273 was highly effective at preventing
COVID-19 in adolescents. It is particularly exciting to see that the
Moderna COVID-19 vaccine can prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection," said Moderna
CEO Stéphane Bancel in a statement.
Examining safety, the vaccine had a consistent profile to that seen in
adults, with injection site pain as the most common local adverse event,
and headache, fatigue, myalgia, and chills as the most common systemic
reactions following the second dose.
Moderna also said they plan to submit the data to a peer-reviewed publication.

Using Kinesiotape in Practice to Improve Outcomes
One of our next year's speakers, for what used to be called Homecoming and is now will be THE INTEGRATED HEALTH CONFERENCE, is Dr Dave Smaldone. He was a trainer before he became a Chiropractor and is a master of helping those that have decreased their performance or been disabled from injury. This week's article will be on Kinesiotaping and how he uses it in practice.
Kinesiotaping can be a wonderful adjunct to any chiropractic or physical treatment practice. People "hear mixed reviews" from the scientific community on kinesiotaping. However, if you have even used it for one day in your practice, you know immediately it is a crucial piece of the puzzle. Throughout the year we will be posting studies, astounding case studies, taping protocols, and essentials you will need. This will allow you to implement an effective tool in your practice which your patients will love and will generate income.
Through the 17 years of kinesiotaping I have learned it can be used for a number of things on a patient:
1. We use it to increase proprioception in the patient's joints when injured.
2. Decrease swelling and edema post injury.
3. Decrease pain at the location of origin.
4. Increase and decrease ROM depending on the application.
5. Provide decreased gravitation strain on limbs that are injured.
We can get these results while the patient is comfortable and effects that last for days.
We have dozens of patients who come in just to get taped before event, working out, and to help with post-surgical problems. Patients who have problems for 20+ years find themselves with partial or complete resolution of their pain and discomfort while taped.
For the 17 years I have been kinesiotaping I have tried dozens of different tapes. Here I will just name a few: Kinesiotape, Spider Tape, KT tape and Rock Tape. I have found through taping thousands of people, Strength Tape is by far the best brand for me. One great advantage is the adhesive last 5 days under almost all conditions. The ion technology seems to make an enormous difference in outcomes.

This too allows for greater stability while healing.
