The Relief Light is based on the same technology as laser diodes, without the cost and safety consideration.  The LED (Light Emitting Diodes) used in the Relief-Light provides the same power and photonic light characteristics used for over thirty years in traditional "cold" laser stimulation devices.  The Relief-Light produces a red, near coherent, light with a center frequency of 660nm, and a effective radiated output power of 5 mw.  This is comparable to"cold" lasers costing three to five times of the cost of the Relief Light.
