Stem Cells May Be Our Fountain of Youth

May 29, 2017 Puzzle Piece

There is an incredible movement in the Chiropractic, Naturopathy and Medical community to boost stem cell activity in the body.  We have been working with Dr Harper, a Chiropractor from Idaho that teaches the entire procedure and the availability to us.  Also our own Brimhall Certified Doctor, Marc Harris, ND specializes in the injections.  He will be teaching seminars on the procedure and how he integrates it with the other aspects of the Brimhall Protocol.

We will be doing a Webinar very soon and we will have this curriculum as part of Homecoming 2018.  Dr Brett Brimhall has a Nurse Practitioner in his office and is doing the procedure as well.  It is an exciting world out there to complement the Six Step protocol.

The injectable and IV Pushes are done with biological allograft cells taken from the umbilical cords of C-Sections.  Dr Harper states research shows these cells are actually precursors to the stem cells and give the most health restoration possibilities with virtually no risks involved.  This is a hot topic we will be covering very thoroughly in the Puzzle Pieces.

We have also added a nutritional formulation to help boost our stem cells.  Please take a look at the following information.  You can call Jason Directly at 480-964-5198 to order.

MagnaStem – Stem Cell Mobilizing Formula

The Revolutionary STEM CELL Formula is an all natural, nutritional supplement that supports and promotes the proliferation (Multiplication) and release of your own adult stem cells.

DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A STEM CELL PRODUCTION FACTORY IN YOUR OWN BONE MARROW?

You have stem cells inside your bone marrow waiting to be activated and sent to replace aging, as well as damaged and unhealthy tissues!  Science has discovered these stem cells circulate in the bloodstream.  When the body suffers tissue damage, lack of oxygen, or infection, large cells are called out of the bone marrow seeking to find and repair the damaged tissues

Stem cells repair and replace these damaged tissues the natural way!  Unfortunately, science is also discovering this system becomes less responsive as you age…. It becomes sluggish and doesn’t send stem cells out to fix damaged and aging cells like it did when you were younger.

This system breakdown may be the primary cause of aging… and now we have some of the solutions!

Unlike any other product on the market, MagnaStem’s proprietary blend of all natural synergistic herbs, vitamins, minerals and plant extracts have been formulated to not only assist the natural release of stem cells…. But also help these stem cells remain healthy and active while in the bloodstream.

BECOME THE DOCTOR OF THE FUTURE, NOW!

This is the Brimhall Xymogen/BioEnergX Homecoming Theme for Jan 24-26, 2013 in Phoenix Arizona.

Thomas Edison

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.” :

Could you be considered this type of doctor?

David Singer, DC of Singer Enterprises, Van Merkle DABCI, DCBCN, CCN of Science Based Nutrition (SBN) and Cheryl Burdette ND, Director of Progressive Medical as a treating physician and Dunwoody Labs are teaming up with Brandy Brimhall CPC, CMCO, Dr. Brett Brimhall, Dr. John Brimhall, Dr. Scott Minor, Dr. Kayle Martinson and the whole Brimhall Wellness Staff to bring you the “Seminar of the Future” to qualify you for this title “Doctor of the Future” Edison spoke about.

WEBINAR THIS THURSDAY: To kick off this theme Dr. Van Merkle and Dr. John Brimhall will be presenting a Webinar this Thursday 8-15-13 at 6 PM EDT, 3PM PDT on Testing the Foundation of Health Through Comprehensive Lab Testing and Panels.

We will discuss discount coop prices with both LabCorp and Quest, with what I feel is the most comprehensive and easy to read and report, computer analysis in the industry. The analysis and reporting is backed by Science, thus the name SBN.

We will discuss why we use blood, hair and sometimes provocative urine challenges for heavy metals. We will relate a special discounted rate for Brimhall/Xymogen/BioEnergX practitioners.

Dr. Van Merkle will discuss a patient that was seen by a famous FM practitioner that did over $3,000 worth of tests. The patient did not get results because he was not tested for heavy metals and parasites. Once the heavy metals and parasites were discovered and addressed, the patient’s function improved dramatically and the symptomatic expression disappeared.

Dr. Brimhall has developed a heavy metal protocol for those of you that use muscle response testing and he also uses hair analysis and challenge testing with urine. We teach the use of homeopathic heavy metals and toxic halogen detoxification along with oral chelation using CheleX (EDTA, Cilantro Extract, Chlorella, N-Acetyl-Cysteine, DMSA, ALA and Allicin). We also use LipiChol, a krill oil in this process.

In the Brimhall Six Steps: Structure, Nutrition, Emotions, Allergies, Electromagnetics and Toxins are evaluated and treated. All Six are covered in the seminars and will certainly be covered at Homecoming. Dr. Brett will be in charge of the hands-on with percussor treatment, laser therapy, instrument adjusting, allergy testing, electromagnetic balancing, detoxification, nutritional evaluation and reporting.

We will elaborate later of what Dr. Singer and Dr. Burdette will cover. Dr. Singer is world renowned for building Chiropractic practices and increasing doctor-patient communication, yielding more new patients, better follow-through and increased profitability. Dr. Burdette is a Doctors Doctor, lectures, writes, researches, is a director of Dunwoody Labs and last I knew, was the highest user of Xymogen nutrition in the World. That is saying a lot! She is one of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable lecturers I have ever heard. That is saying a lot also.

I am sometimes asked, what is the definition of Functional Medicine?

Definition of Functional and Foundational Testing: It is an approach that focuses on identifying and treating the causes of dys-function rather than disease. It is concerned with improving function and not treating the symptoms of disease.

It is a partnership between the patient and the doctor to restore proper health by restoring normal function. It must be understood that each patient is unique in genetics, biochemistry, personality, family history, environmental exposure and life style. Each person must be treated as an individual.

Not to see is not to know. In the Brimhall protocol, we use observation, physical examination, case history, family history, genetic evaluation were possible, blood, hair, urine, acupuncture etc. to get as broad of understanding of the patients' function and possible dys-functions.

We look forward to talking to you at the webinar this Thursday, seeing you at one of our many seminars this year and set January 24-26, 2014 on your calendar for Homecoming in sunny Arizona.

Study finds arsenic in infant formulas and cereal bars
I am writing this article this week to remind us there are heavy metals in the air, water and food that we consume, even at the infant stage. The new XYMOGEN Homeopathic Heavy Metal Formulas and the Halogen Homeopathic formulas, including bromine, chlorine and fluorine should be available in early June.

We teach the heavy metal and halogen detox protocols at each of our seminars. It is necessary to use other nutrition like Xymogen’s CheleX, which is nutrient dense with antioxidants and a synergist blend that may be helpful in removal of heavy metals and other toxins. We also use essential fatty acids in our daily recommendations like OmegaPure Fish Oils.

Dartmouth College researchers have found arsenic in some foods that use organic brown rice syrup as a sweetener. These include infant formula and cereal bars. The majority of the arsenic detected was the type that is known to be a human carcinogen, they stated.

Here are some of the important findings of the study, published online Feb. 16 by the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Health Perspectives:

Two of 17 infant formulas tested listed organic brown rice syrup as the primary ingredient. One had a total arsenic concentration that was six times the federal limit of 10 parts per billion (ppb) for total arsenic in bottled or public drinking water. This is particularly worrisome for babies because they are especially vulnerable to arsenic’s toxic effects due to their small size and the corresponding arsenic consumption per pound of body weight.

Twenty-two of 29 cereal bars or energy bars tested listed at least one of these four rice products—organic brown rice syrup, rice flour, rice grain or rice flakes - among the top five ingredients. The seven other bars were among the lowest in total arsenic, ranging from 8 to 27 ppb, while those containing syrup or other forms of rice ranged from 23 to 128 ppb.

Tests of high-energy products known as “energy shots” that are used by endurance athletes and others showed that one of the three gel-like blocks contained 84 ppb of total arsenic, while the other two contained 171 ppb.

The Dartmouth researchers also cited Consumer Reports’ recent investigation, which found elevated levels of arsenic in apple and grape juices, as further evidence that U.S. consumers are being exposed to toxic concentrations of arsenic in foods and beverages.

Studies have indicated rice plants are unusually efficient at taking up arsenic from the soil. Much of the rice produced in the U.S. is grown on land formerly used to grow cotton, where arsenical pesticides were widely used for many years, just as they were in orchards and vineyards.

It is important to watch very carefully the foods we eat and the beverages we drink. On top of that, even great nutrient dense foods like rice can be contaminated. We should be very interested in detoxification nutrients and detoxification procedures for ourselves, our family and our patients in an ongoing manner.

We look forward to seeing you soon in one of our seminars across the country.

Change Your ORGANS, Change Your HEALTH

April 1, 2019 Puzzle Piece
Allergy season is rough on your eyes, sinuses and energy levels. It comes on hard and fast for many when they get their first whiff of pollen.  There’s one other thing you may not realize is happening.  This insult is hitting your adrenals hard.  The adrenals are major players in allergies.  You need to support them nutritionally to keep them from going into fatigue or total exhaustion, while you minimize the excess cortisol production.  Let's concentrate today on the adrenals for the organ of choice in this discussion.

Allergies wear your adrenal glands down and can cause them to degenerate. Allergies involve the release of histamine and other proinflammatory substances. Cortisol is produced by the adrenal glands, which is a strong anti-inflammatory. The amount of cortisol circulating in your blood is a key factor in controlling inflammatory reactions. This process directly affects your adrenal glands.

The Vicious Cycle

Stressed adrenals have a difficult time producing enough cortisol necessary to regulate inflammatory allergic reactions. People suffering from adrenal fatigue may notice they have more and increased allergies as the adrenals become increasing compromised.

On top of that, the more histamine released, the harder the adrenals must work to produce enough cortisol. This creates a downward spiral of the already chronically tired and fatigued adrenals.  It is a vicious cycle with one problem feeding into the other.

Top Reasons Your Adrenals Get Fatigued = ALL SIX INTERFERENCES:

1.    Emotional stress
2.    Nutritional stress from poor diet and poor digestion
3.    Physical trauma/stress causing chronic inflammation and dysfunction
4.    Toxic accumulation
5.    Allergies/Sensitivities
6.    Electromagnetic stressors

Inflammation is tied to all 6 Interferences.  Stress, toxins and poor diet especially elevate inflammatory markers at the cellular level. Inflammation is involved in every major disease.  Therefore, if your adrenals are compromised, you’re opening yourself up for a long series of dis-ease, that snowball in frequency, numbers and severity.

When you review the signs and symptoms of adrenal stress, you can see all organs, systems and your health are compromised.

A Few Signs of Adrenal Fatigue:
●    Allergies that can be progressive in numbers, severity and frequency
●    Low body temperature
●    Weakness and Fatigue
●    Irritability and emotional outbursts
●    Poor concentration
●    Excess hunger
●    Insomnia or mental fog
●    Depression and anxiety
●    Weight gain
●    Low sex drive

It is impossible to fix the allergies and the immune system without addressing the underlying adrenal fatigue. With adrenal dysfunction, comes suppressed rest-and-repair physiology, including your immune system. This is like putting the brakes on all of your metabolism in charge of rest-and-repair. This further shifts the immune system into allergy production and possibly autoimmune responses. Help the adrenals to heal and you will release the brake.

June 29, 2020 - Fat Loss: An Adrenal and Adipose Issue pp_banner

Fat Loss: An Adrenal and Adipose Issue

June 29, 2020 Puzzle Piece

Research from the study “Adipose Tissue and Adrenal Glands: Novel Pathophysiological Mechanisms and Clinical Applications” shows that, “Adipose tissue hormones or ‘adipokines’ have direct effects on the adrenal glands and interact with adrenal hormones at several levels.

“Here we review the emerging evidence supporting the existence of “cross talk” between the adrenal gland and adipose tissue, focusing on the relevance and roles of their respective hormones in health and disease states including obesity, metabolic syndrome, and primary disorders of the adrenals.”

Research shows a strong link between the adrenals, how much body fat a person has and if they are able to shed the excess. The latest research is zeroing in on adipose tissues and the connection to the adrenal glands.

Adipose tissues are a heterogeneous group of tissues classified based on histology and function as white adipose tissue (WAT) and brown adipose tissue (BAT). The adipose tissues are a source of several hormones termed “adipokines” or “adipocytokines.”

Researchers from the study said, “Adipokine roles in regulating systemic energy homeostasis, body weight, vascular biology, inflammation,  glucose and lipid metabolism have been well defined.”

The adrenal cortex produces androgen hormones, all of which decline substantially with excess stress and age. The most noteworthy hormone is DHEA. A number of epidemiologic studies have shown correlations between circulating DHEA-S, obesity, insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease.  DHEA helps prevent the development of new fat cells.

“The dramatic changes in fat distribution characterized by central adiposity with wasting of subcutaneous fat deposits, typical of Cushing syndrome, have led to the hypothesis that adrenal exhaustion may play a role in more common forms of visceral obesity. While circulating cortisol levels are not increased in obese individuals, increased net cortisol production occurs locally in the adipose tissue.”

To help with adipose tissue hormone health, you need to take care of the adrenal glands. In order to do that, it means delivering a highly potent, bioavailable array of nutrients at the cellular level to allow for proper adrenal health and function.

Opti-Adrenal: Glandular Care for Your Adipose Tissue Hormones

OptiAdrenal_sm

A No. 1-selling Dr. Brimhall formula for years, is a synergistic blend of whole food nutrients and bioavailable glandulars, providing adrenal health, function and regeneration.

Opti-Adrenal contains a therapeutic dose of whole food vitamin C, riboflavin, vitamin B6, pantothenic acid, and predigested glandulars, along with an array of other nutrients that support the key players for adrenal health and function. Together, these nutrients are shown to help your body reduce cortisol levels, maintain a healthy response to stress, and reduce fat mass.

The essence of weight loss and management is quality calories in and to burn those calories for energy.  The math will not add up if your mitochondria are not doing their job. Without proper adrenal function, the food intended for energy burn, will get stored as fat.

Opti-Mito-Force contains proven nutrients that can revive your mitochondria, which may be the exact push your body needs to properly burn fat and maintain a healthy weight. It can accomplish this by helping minimize the stress effects on the body, mind, emotions, and the mitochondria.

Both an underactive and overactive thyroid can lead to weight abnormality. The thyroid gland uses iodine from food and supplements to make the hormone thyroxine (T4), which is converted to the more potent, bioactive form called triiodothyronine (T3). Thyroid function works in concert with the pituitary gland, adrenals, parathyroid, and sex glands, all of which work together to maintain hormonal balance in the body.

Opti-Thyroid provides tyrosine, iodine, and selenium, along with other micronutrients that are essential for the production of T4 and its conversion to T3. B vitamins from a whole food cultured media blend are present to support energy production, while vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene provide support for antioxidant activity and tissue protection. Chelated minerals, choline, betaine hydrochloride (HCI), and glutamic acid provide further support for metabolic functions. Glandular support comes from an Argentinian bovine source and are predigested to ensure safety, usability, and purity.

optithyroid_sm

The thyroid needs a minimum of 12.5 mg of iodine daily.  Often, we recommend the addition of Opti-Iodine to give ample iodine and iodide.

Opti-Iodine provides whole food micronutrients that are essential for the production of thyroid hormones, providing a foundation that best supports the thyroid gland. OHS Opti-Iodine is the only iodine supplement to utilizes predigested whole food ingredients. You need your thyroid functioning optimally or you run the risk of your body holding on to excess fat. There is a strong connection between thyroid function, metabolism and weight loss.
